Joe Hoal, the owner of Jo's Irrigation, has been providing the Hampton Roads region with quality irrigation and lawn care systems since 1986, when he was employed as an installation assistant with Hampton Roads Irrigation. When Irvin Bess decided to branch out from HR Irrigation and build up his own company, Joe chose to follow him. Joe worked happily with Irvin until his retirement, after which Joe decided to continue his former employer's legacy of providing customers with quality systems for fair, small business prices by opening his own company, Jo's Irrigation.
To this day, Jo's Irrigation has remained family owned and operated, and their small business mentality is something the Hoal family prides themselves on. When asked why he chooses to remain a small business instead of branching out and going corporate, Joe says this: "I believe that you cannot give your customers the service they deserve if you sell-out to a big company. For one, to be such a large company requires charging your customers more because you have increased corporate overhead costs. Second, you lose the one-on-one connection with your customers that I believe really makes a company like ours so great. Our business thrives on customer loyalty because without them I cannot do what I love to do. So, you can be certain that we always bring our A-game to ensure our customer's total satisfaction." |
